My Name is Jodie, and I live in Annapolis, MD, with my 2 Irish Wolfhounds. In my spare time, I like to craft- if it uses a needle & thread, or can be painted with Silk paint, I LOVE IT!
... my family
My family owns a small telecommunications installation and repair business. My parents & I share a house we moved from it's original lot to our curent location! We are all active in the Potomac Valley Irish Wolfhound Club. When I'm not maintaining Nortel Option or BCM systems, I can be found at home, gardening or crafting or playing with my boys... or showing them. To support my dogs, I am turning my hobbies into a cottage industry!

Fairy Dog Mothers- your fairy dog mother will keep your secrets- support your dreams- celebrate your success and console your losses- and look GREAT while doing it! She is hand made and beaded, with over 35000 miyuki delica seed beads (the best available!) her wings are color- appropriate fancy fabrics- they may be brocade, chinese silk or something else that catches my fancy. Her beads radiate out around her heart- Just like your dog's love radiates! Her collar is special fancy beads (Labradorite, if she's a Lab!), with a tiny tag that says "best friend". Your fairy dog mother will take approximately 6 weeks to come to life. She can be finished as an ornament or window hanging, or with velcro to attach to a shirt or jacket.
Hand painted silk scarves & ties... Silk scarves are hand hemmed, 8 momme chiffon (or similar), in a variety of sizes - rectangles & squares- even pareo size - some with fringed edges... can be painted in your choice of colors and styles. These take about 4 weeks to finish.
Hand smocked or heirloom baby clothes- flower girl dresses, infant rompers or gowns, christening gowns or suits... all will be custom made to your child's measurements & your choice of colors or designs. Clothes can even be made machine washable! They can be as elaborate or simple as you like. These take varying amounts of time to complete, depending on fabric, design, and work involved.
Hand painted kids clothes- T shirts, rompers, bibs, etc. - Hand Painted with your favorite breed or design. These take a few weeks to make.
Cutom made wall quilts- made from your photo or mine, or from Sharon Malec's super patterns. These can take 6-8 weeks to make...
